What is the difference between texture painting and limewash?
Texture painting builds a deliberate pattern or relief with coloured coatings — bold, dimensional and good at hiding wall imperfections. Limewash is a mineral wash with a soft, cloud-like matte movement that breathes with the wall. Both make excellent feature walls; the choice is about the look you want.
Where does epoxy painting make sense?
Anywhere a surface works hard: factory and warehouse floors, kitchens and yards, car porches, balcony floors and wet areas. Epoxy forms a dense, seamless film that shrugs off traffic, moisture and cleaning chemicals far better than ordinary paint.
When is spray painting better than brush and roller?
For metal gates, window grilles, louvre doors, furniture and cabinetry — anywhere brush marks would show on a hard, smooth surface. Spraying lays down an even, factory-like film. It needs careful masking, so it suits prepared zones and removable items.
Can you paint over existing paint, or must it be stripped?
Sound old paint is cleaned, lightly sanded and primed, then repainted. Flaking, chalky or badly incompatible coatings are stripped or sealed first — we test adhesion during the assessment so the new system does not fail with the old one.
How do I choose the right sheen?
Matt hides imperfections and suits ceilings and bedrooms. Washable low-sheen finishes suit living areas and corridors. Semi-gloss and gloss suit doors, trim and wet zones where wipe-downs are frequent. We advise room by room on site.
Do you help with colour selection?
Yes. We advise against your furniture, lighting and floor tones, bring brand colour cards, and apply test patches on request — so you commit to a colour you have actually seen on your own wall.
Do you paint roofs in Singapore?
Yes. We clean and repaint pitched and flat roofs on landed homes and low-rise buildings — metal, clay-tile and concrete. The roof is washed and cleared of moss, rust is treated, the surface is primed and then finished with a UV- and rain-resistant coating, with heat-reflective options that help keep the space below cooler.
What is the difference between roof painting and roof waterproofing?
Roof painting is a protective, UV- and weather-resistant coating applied to the roof surface — it shields the material and restores the colour. Roof waterproofing is a membrane system that stops water getting through a roof that is already leaking. They are different trades: we provide roof painting, and we do not offer waterproofing. If your roof is leaking, it needs a waterproofing specialist before any painting is worth doing.
Can you paint metal gates, grilles and railings?
Yes. Metalwork is de-rusted, primed with an anti-corrosive primer and finished by brush or spray in your chosen colour and sheen. We handle gates, grilles, railings, roller shutters, metal doors, awnings and structural steel — the system is chosen to hold up in Singapore's humidity.
For metal, is brush or spray better?
Spray gives the smoothest, most even, factory-like finish on gates, grilles and shutters, so it is our usual choice there. Brush suits touch-ups, tight spots and areas where overspray must be avoided. Either way, surrounding surfaces are masked and protected.
